Peru President begins official visit to Spain

Peruvian President Ollanta Humala kicked off an official trip to Spain on Sunday night. 
It marks the first time a Peruvian Head of State travels to the European country after 10 years.

Mr. Humala is accompanied by Foreign Affairs Minister Ana Maria Sanchez; Prime Minister Pedro Cateriano, Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Magali Silva and First Lady Nadine Heredia.

While in Spain, he will hold bilateral meetings with King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia, President Mariano Rajoy and leaders of the Senate and Chamber of Deputies, among other authorities.

Peruvian Vice President Marisol Espinoza will assume the Presidential office, while the President is in overseas on July 5-10.
