Peru qualifies for Copa America 2015 quarter finals

The Peruvian national adult soccer team qualified for the Copa America Chile 2015's quarter finals after a 0-0 draw against Colombia at Temuco city's Gustavo Becker Stadium.

During the first half, Peru "stood strong" on the field.  However, goal chances could not be concretized.
Colombia was not able to reach the Peruvian area easily either.

In the second half, the red-white managed to control Colombians and kept their goal intentions off court.

Despite the game ended without any goals, today's match marked Peru's most outstanding participation in the tournament.

The game was the national team's third participation in the said tournament. Previously, it lost against Neymar's Brazil (2-1). Nonetheless, it beat Venezuela (1-0).

The Claudio Pizarro team gets 4 points, as does Colombia. However, in this round Peru achieved to score 2 goals, whereas the Colombians only 1. Thus, Peru has automatically qualified for the competition's next round.
