After finishing the Copa America in third place against Paraguay last week, the Peruvian national team came out of the tournament feeling positive about their performance, including striker Paolo Guerrero.
Peruvian soccer player Paolo Guerrero announced in a press conference his signing to the Brazilian soccer team Flamengo, according to Andina news agency.
“I hope to give all I can, at all times. This year I hope to get something important with Flamengo,” said Guerrero.
“I am proud of having to represent Flamengo, it will be important to sacrifice for this team. I will give my all to give joy to the roller of Flamengo.”
Also known as the “Depredador” or “Predator”, Guerrero went to Brazil to sign with the team. The striker had his first training under coach Cristóvão Borges. He’ll debut with the team on Wednesday against Internacional de Porto Alegre in the Beira Rio stadium.
