The Peruvian government has condemned the terrorist acts conducted by the self-proclaimed Islamist State in Diyala (Iraq), which caused the death of 120 people, and left thousands injured on July 17.
According to a release issued by the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the Peruvian Government expressed its condolences to the families of the victims and the Government of Iraq.
Additionally, it expressed its solidarity to those, who were injured as the consequence of this outrageous terrorist attack.
The Government release stated "Peru reaffirms its categorical rejection and repudiation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, since it violates values and principles that set the foundations for the civilized coexistence among nations. Likewise, it [Peru] expresses its support to the efforts against the scourge of terrorism."
