The Press Office of the Embassy of Peru in Washington, D.C., works with local and foreign media to inform the public of Peruvian affairs, Peruvian government policies and bilateral issues.
The Press Office is the Embassy’s information conduit and provides a variety of information services, including press releases, policy papers and speeches of the President and other Government officials, photographs and audiovisual material. It also organizes press conferences and coordinates interview requests with the Ambassador, among other activities.
Under specific circumstances, the Press Counselor acts as the spokesperson for the Embassy.
When high-level Peruvian Government officials visit the US, the Press Office organizes press conferences and its Counselor is the contact person for interviews. It also provides support for international press accompanying official delegations.
The Press Office is responsible for preparing and editing outreach documents and materials. It also oversees the web page of the Embassy.
